Salary Details for Various SSC CHSL Posts
- Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Pay Level-2 (Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200).

SSC CHSL Recruitment 2025 Educational Eligibility
- For Data Entry Operator (DEO)/ DEO Grade ‘A’ in the specified Ministries/Departments (Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Ministry of Culture, and Staff Selection Commission): Candidates must have passed 12th Standard in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or its equivalent.
- For LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ (excluding the DEO posts mentioned above): Candidates should have passed the 12th Standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
- Individuals who have appeared for their 12th Standard or equivalent examination are also eligible to apply, provided they fulfill the essential qualification by the cut-off date, which is 01-01-2026.
SSC CHSL 2025 Selection Procedure
Tier-I Examination:
- The Tier-I Examination will consist solely of Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions. Questions will be presented in both English and Hindi, except for the English Language section.
- Please note that there will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer. Candidates should be mindful of this when responding to questions.

Tier-II Examination:
- Tier-II will be conducted in two sessions, Session–I and Session-II, on the same day.
- Session-I will include Section-I, Section-II, and Module-I of Section-III. Session-II will cover Module-II of Section-III.
- It is mandatory for candidates to qualify in all sections of Tier-II.
- Tier-II will feature Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions, with the exception of Module-II of Section-III.
- Questions will be in English and Hindi, except for the English Language and Comprehension module (Module-I of Section-II).
- There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer in Section-I, Section-II, and Module-I of Section-III.
