Eligibility Requirements

Educational Qualification

Applicants for the Junior Clerk position must satisfy the following educational qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Second Class Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Certification of six months training in computer applications covering office automation, bookkeeping, and word processing from a recognized/certified institution.
  • OR, a Diploma in Computer Science recognized by AICTE.

Skill Test Requirement:

  • Candidates must successfully pass a Computer Typing Test, with the following requirements:
  • Typing speed of 30 words per minute (WPM) in English, OR
  • Typing speed of 25 words per minute (WPM) in Hindi.
Age Limit

  • General (UR) Category: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 30 years
  • SC/ST Candidates: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 35 years

Selection Methodology

The selection process for the Junior Clerk position at BHU comprises the following stages:
