Air Force Agniveer Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

For Science Subjects:

  • Applicants should have passed their Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English from an Education Board recognized by COBSE, securing a minimum of 50% marks overall and 50% marks in English. OR
  • Successfully completed a 3-year Diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from a Government-approved Polytechnic institute, achieving 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the diploma course (or in Intermediate / Matriculation, if English was not part of the Diploma curriculum). OR
  • Completed a Two years Vocational Course including non-vocational subjects like Physics and Maths from State Education Boards / Councils recognized by COBSE, with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course (or in Intermediate / Matriculation, if English was not a subject in the Vocational Course).

For Other than Science Subjects:

  • Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any subject approved by Central / State Education Boards listed as COBSE members, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR
  • Completed a two years vocational course from Education Boards recognized by COBSE, securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course or in Intermediate / Matriculation if English was not a subject in the Vocational Course.

Mandatory Medical Standards

  • Height: The minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cm.
  • Chest: The minimum range for expansion should be 5 cm.
  • Weight: Should be proportionate to the candidate's height and age.
  • Corneal Surgery types (PRK / LASIK) are not permitted. Specific visual requirements must adhere to Indian Air Force standards.
  • Hearing: Candidates must possess normal hearing ability, capable of hearing a forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters independently with each ear.
  • Dental: Gums should be healthy, with a good set of teeth and a minimum of 14 dental points.

Agniveer Vayu Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

  • A 1.6 Km run must be completed within 7 minutes for male candidates and within 8 minutes for female candidates.
  • Male candidates are also required to complete 10 Push-ups, 10 Sit-ups, and 20 Squats within a specified time limit to pass the Physical Fitness Test. Specific requirements for female candidates regarding push-ups will be detailed in the official notification.

Indian Air Force Agniveer Recruitment 2025 Selection Procedure

Phase 1: Online Examination

Candidates found eligible will receive provisional admit cards for Phase – I testing via their registered e-mail addresses, typically 48-72 hours before the scheduled examination. It is mandatory for candidates to download and print a color copy of this admit card and present it at the examination venue on the day of the online test. This provisional admit card can also be accessed and downloaded from the candidate's account on the official CASB web portal (https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in).

The online test format will be objective, with questions provided in both English and Hindi languages, except for the English paper itself. Candidates applying for both Science subjects and subjects other than Science will undertake the online test in a single session on the same computer system. Applicants are required to bring one blue/black pen and their original AADHAR card for the Phase – I assessment.

Specific details regarding the test structure are as follows:

  1. For Science Subjects: The total duration for the online test will be 60 minutes, covering English, Physics, and Mathematics based on the 10+2 CBSE curriculum.
  2. For Other Than Science Subjects: The online test will last 45 minutes in total, including English as per the 10+2 CBSE syllabus, and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
  3. For Both Science and Other Than Science Subjects: The combined online test will have a total duration of 85 minutes, comprising English, Physics, and Mathematics based on the 10+2 CBSE syllabus, along with Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
  4. Scoring method for the online test:
    1. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
    2. No marks (0) will be given for questions that are not attempted.
    3. A deduction of 0.25 marks will be applied for every incorrect answer.

Phase 2 Selection

Following the announcement of the Phase-I (Online) Test results, a cut-off score will be determined based on candidate performance. Candidates who are shortlisted will receive a new admit card delivered to their registered e-mail IDs for the Phase – II testing, to be conducted at a specified Airmen Selection Centre (ASC).

These admit cards for the Phase-II examination can also be downloaded online from the candidate's profile login on the CASB web portal (https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in).

Candidates must report to the designated ASC on the given date and time for Phase-II, bringing the following documents:

  1. Color printout of the Phase-II admit card.
  2. Color printout of the completed application form, downloaded after finishing the online registration.
  3. An HB pencil, eraser, sharpener, glue stick, stapler, and black/blue ballpoint pen for writing purposes.
  4. Eight copies of un-attested color passport-size photographs (the same one used during the online application registration).
  5. Original certificate and four self-attested photocopies of the matriculation passing certificate (required to verify candidate's name, father’s name, and date of birth).
  6. Original marksheet and four self-attested photocopies of the matriculation marksheet (applicable only for candidates holding a three-year diploma course where English was not a subject).
  7. Original certificate and four self-attested photocopies of the Intermediate / 10+2 / equivalent examination passing certificate and mark sheet. OR
  8. Original passing certificate and four self-attested photocopies of all semester mark sheets for the three-year diploma course. OR
  9. Original passing certificate and four self-attested photocopies of all mark sheets for the two-year vocational course, including non-vocational subjects like English, Physics, and Mathematics.
  10. Certificate for SOAFP (Son of Air Force Personnel), including certificates for sons of current / retired / deceased Air Force civilian staff, if applicable.
  11. The original Phase-I admit card used during the initial test, bearing the Air Force seal and invigilator’s signature.
  12. Original and four self-attested photocopies of the NCC ‘A’, ‘B’, or ‘C’ certificate, if applicable.
